Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information I collect on this site, why I collect it, and how I protect it, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
1. Person in charge of personal information
Linna Tieu-Linh Tran, acupuncturist, is responsible for protecting personal information at Linna Tran Acupuncture. For any question or request:

When you fill out the appointment request form, I collect:
- your first name, last name, phone number and email address;
- for a first visit only: your date of birth and address;
- your preferred location, availability and visit type;
- your reason for visiting, if you choose to share it;
- whether you'd like to receive the newsletter.
Please don't include detailed health information in the form. We'll discuss it in person at your appointment.
3. Why I collect it
Your information is used only to contact you, schedule your appointment and, for a first visit, open your file at Clinique Active, where appointments take place. If you checked the newsletter box, your email address is also used to send you occasional news and educational content. I never sell, rent or trade your information.
4. Consent
By sending the form, you consent to your information being used to schedule your appointment and, if applicable, shared with Clinique Active to open your file. The newsletter is optional and requires separate consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing me, or by using the unsubscribe link in every newsletter.
5. Sharing and hosting
Your information may be shared with the following organizations, only for the purposes described:
- Clinique Active, where appointments take place: your contact details, date of birth and address are entered in its management software to open your file and book your time slot;
- receiving appointment requests: Google Sheets (Google);
- sending the newsletter: MailerLite.
Some of these providers may store information outside Quebec. Before sharing information with them, I make sure they offer adequate protection. They may not use it for any other purpose.
6. Retention
Appointment requests are deleted no later than 12 months after they're received. If you become a patient, your file is kept as required by the Ordre des acupuncteurs du Québec. Your email address is removed from the newsletter as soon as you unsubscribe.
7. Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only I have access to your information. If a privacy incident creates a risk of serious harm, I will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information.
8. Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your information. Email info@linnatranacupuncture.com; I'll reply within 30 days.
9. Cookies
This site uses no advertising cookies or tracking tools. If that changes, this policy will be updated and your consent will be asked first.
10. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how your information is handled, please write to me first. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated. The date of the latest change is shown at the top of the page.
